Ambient temperature lagers
Posted by Todd on 28th Jun 2016
Having followed the lager temperature experiments at Brulosophy I figured I'd try a lager at 18C and see what happens. What happens is a nice clean lager. Throws off sulfur during fermentation, but I can't detect it now. I DID cold crash and gelatin fine, so I can't comment on how well the yeast flocs on its own. Try it for yourself if you want to make lagers but don't want to make a fermentation chamber and pay the associated electrical bill.
