WLP090 can pretty much do it all. American Ales are a given but it's slightly off-clean character (somewhere between WLP007 and WLP001) works well in darker British Styles. Try this one in a Dry Stout or Robust Porter, it's very nice!
Attenuation is very high (more so on consecutive pitches) so ensure you utilize a mash schedule conducive to style otherwise your brew might come across and thin.
090 Ferments fast, as little as 3 days. Day 5 it's already brite. This strain is an excellent candidate for those 7 day grain-to-glass brews when the pipeline is running low.
The fermentation can generate a bunch of heat so use whichever method you have available to keep those temperatures in check. The strain has a limited "ideal" ferment temperature range and although I didn't experience the phenomenon, reports are San Diego Super gets finicky above or below the ideal 18-20c and may stall out. I'd recommend pitching @ 18c and holding until you see signs of Krausen and then letting it free rise holding again at 20c through completion.
