Description
Cascade is probably the most popular hop of all time. This hop was release in 1972 and is now being grown all over. Cascade is a great dual-purpose hop that is well suited to any style beer. This hop has a distinct spicy citrus aroma with a hint of grapefruit.
This version of Cascade has been grown locally in the Pontiac region of Québec; more specifically, île du Grand Calumet. This is an excellent hop to brew you next signature beer. Why not try local hops and encourage this hop farm.
Typical brewing styles: Pale Ales, American Ales, Amber Ales, Lagers, Porters, Stouts
Spicy citrus aroma with a hint of grapefruit
Purpose: aroma and bittering
Alpha Acid: 4.5% - 8.9%
Beta Acid: 3.6% - 7.5%
Origin: Local (Île du Grand Calumet)
Possible substitutions: Ahtanum, Amarillo, Centennial, Columbus
