Description
Grow your own hops at home. Chinook Hop Rhizomes are grown in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Rhizomes are shipped in moistened peat moss and sealed in a plastic bag to maintain optimum health and viability. The grower will harvest the next rhizome crop near the end of March and we should see them mid to end April.
Have your rhizomes potted before May!
Slower to emerge from dormancy. It is the variety all other hops in the Midwest are compared to for vigor and yield. Chinook forms large primary bines and climbs well with consistent yields. Shows better resistance to mildews and pests than most varieties. Notably forgiving of soil types, drainage, and less-than-perfect growing conditions. 42” in-row spacing.
