Description
Rakau hops have been around for many years. It was known as AlphAroma which no longer exists commercially. Rakau was rediscovered and re-released in 2011. This hop has big fruit-forward characters. Rakau is an efficient bittering hop due to its high alpha acid content. This hop is best used as a late addition to maximize the fresh fruit aromas. Awesome flavours and aromas of apricot, plum, mango, pear and other stone fruits are given when used in hopstands or dry-hopping.
