Description
Grow your own hops at home. Columbus Hop Rhizomes are grown in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Rhizomes are shipped in moistened peat moss and sealed in a plastic bag to maintain optimum health and viability. The grower will harvest the next rhizome crop near the end of March and we should see them mid to end April.
Have your rhizomes potted before May!
Grows well, climbs well, can throw sterile male flowers when stressed; which can reduce total yields. Low resistance to mildews and mites. More clustered & dense cone set than Zeus. Tolerant of heat and alkaline soil types; grows well in sandy soils if properly fertilized. Dense tight cones must be dried carefully. 30”-36” in-row spacing.
