Bavarian Weissbier All-Grain Kit
Bavarian Weissbier All-Grain Kit:
Bavarian Weissbier is a 100% traditional German wheat beer. It's medium-light in body and very refreshing with a nice creamy head. You will taste banana, clove, and spicy tones. It's pale in colour and naturally cloudy with low hop bitterness. For an authentic experience put on some lederhosen and pour this puppy into a tall glass (aka mit hefe) then stir up that yeast.

took this grain bill, added 4 oz orange pee, 1 oz lemon peel, 1 tsp crushed coriander with 10 min in the boil. dry hopped it after fermentation was complete with amarillo and mosaiq. it basically turns this into a Kronenburg blanc clone. delightful
The best wheat beer!

I have to say that this is really one of the best wheat beers you can buy ........ I added 4 Navel oranges and their juice with 5 mins left in the boil and fermented with White Labs WLP380 Hefeweizen IV Ale Yeast.. really gotta boast this beer recipe especially for its price. BUY IT

Ordered this kit not taking time to see it was only 1 gallon(guess that's why the price was what it was). Disappointing.....ONLY because it isn't going to last very long
[Beer Grains Reply] Oh no! Sorry to hear you selected the wrong size. Note that this review was entered on the 5 Gal Kit page, the 1 Gallon Bavarian Weissbier Kit page is located here: https://www.beergrains.com/Bavarian-Weissbier-All-Grain-Kit-1-Gallon/
Really Nice Brew

I made this as a split batch as my first all-grain brew. I did half of the batch as the recipe called for and other than being slightly under-carbonated (likely due to user error), it's a fantastic beer. Nicely balanced with a nice wheat foundation.
The other half of the kit, made at the same time, was with sour cherries from my neighbour's tree. The only issue with this batch was that I didn't make more. The beer balances beautifully with tart cherries and makes for a great summer brew. Trying to save a few bottles for the heat of the upcoming summer.
Great Beer Style

I've brewed this a few times. This kit makes an excellent wheat beer. The last time I brewed it, I put the juice of 4 blood oranges and the peel without the pith and about 14g of crushed coriander seed. When it was done, there was a slight note on the nose and pallet of both the orange and coriander. Talk about wow! Cant wait to brew it again.
