Citra hops are a well sought out due to its high-impact aroma. This hop is well used in the craft brewing industry and home brewrs. This hop has a complex linage which included Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Tettnanger, Brewer's Gold and East Kent Golding.
This hop has a strong citrusy profile, just like the name implies. Citra has an extraordinary flavour profile of grapefruit, lime and tropical fuuits. Some brewers will advise against using this hop for bittering. This hop can give harsh and undesirable flavours.
