Black Is Beautiful All Grain Kit

This beer was inspired by brewers all over north-america making a statement about Black Lives Matter. It's unfortunate that racism is still part of society even in 2020. Breweries all over have made their own version of the Black Is Beautiful. We are bringing you this Imperial Stout from 5e Baron. They have generously given us this wonderful stout recipe to share with the world.

This solid imperial stout at 10% alcohol has a very rich body with a complex nose. The medium bitterness combined with the high dose of roasted malts, including chocolate rye which brings a spicier note, balances perfectly with the roundness of the beer, chocolate and vanilla. A kind of Vanilla iced chocolate brownie.

5e Baron brewery has open its doors in April 2020. Yes, even though we were in the beginnings of the COVID-19 pandemic they boldly open their doors to the public. They are having huge success even with the hard times of this pandemic. The brewer of this new brewery is a master at creating stouts, so you can imagine how wonderful this beer will be.


This Imperial Stout is at 10% alcohol and requires a massive amount of grain to reach this alcohol level. You will not be able to mash this much grain in a Grainfather or Brewzilla.  This kit recommends doing an overnight mash using a 10 gallon mash tun or cooler.

This recipe kit requires a yeast starter du to the high gravity of this kit.  If you are unable to make a yeast starter, you will need to order two yeast packs.
